initial Consultation $75
This is a one-time, 30-minute video session designed to understand your concerns and goals for working together. During this session, you’ll meet with one of our providers to discuss testing and therapy options, obtain referrals and recommendations, and schedule treatment sessions if we’re a good fit for your needs.
Intake Assessment $300
Next, your provider will conduct a diagnostic interview, which includes gathering important background information and evaluating you or your child’s current mental health. If applicable, we will provide a clinical diagnosis to help guide your treatment. At the end of the assessment, we will provide detailed recommendations for next steps, such as scheduling therapy sessions, discussing further testing options, connecting you with trusted referrals and resources, or reviewing other advice specific to your situation.
Therapy Sessions $225
Therapy sessions are 45-minutes. We offer short-term, evidence-based treatments. The first phase of therapy typically consists of 12-20 weekly sessions. We will help you estimate your treatment duration during the initial consultation.
Therapy with Licensed Psychologist $225
Therapy with Practice Owner $300
Therapy services offered by our postdoctoral residents and advanced practicum students are reduced to $125-$175 per session.
Evaluation rates
Cost of Psychological evaluation
We offer comprehensive psychoeducational, psychological, and neuropsychological testing. The cost for evaluation is a flat rate of $2,000 for Preschool to Grade 1 and $2,500 for Grades 2 through 12 and adults. This accounts for all clinician time spent meeting with parents and child, selecting and administering tests, scoring, aggregating and analyzing test results, consulting with teachers or other providers and outside parties, writing reports and providing in-depth feedback with parents. Read our post on how to pay for your evaluation. We offer reduced rates for testing completed with our Psychology Trainees.
Cost of Gifted Testing
We offer a single-assessment package for the cognitive (IQ) test required for admission to gifted programs for a flat rate of $600. This evaluation includes a single child assessment session (approximately 90 to 120 minutes), brief verbal feedback to support you in understanding scores, and a written summary and score appendix to share with your child’s school or other party of your choice. Read our post on Gifted/Intelligence Testing.
Cost of Testing for Young Adults and College Students
Comprehensive testing for university and exam board accommodations typically falls under the standard assessment rate of $2,500 given the documentation and assessment requirements of most school boards.
For young adults seeking evaluation for the purpose of their own knowledge (e.g., those who are curious if they have ADHD or autism), we offer basic diagnostic evaluations at a reduced rate of $850.*
*Fee may vary in cost depending on symptom complexity.
Reduced Rate Comprehensive Assessment
As part of our training facility, we offer reduced rates for assessments conducted by our Doctoral Practicum Students with limited availability and as appropriate.
These students have already earned their Master's degrees in School Psychology and are currently in their 3rd year of doctoral studies, working towards their Doctorate. Each assessment is performed under the close supervision of a Licensed Psychologist, ensuring that you receive the best care and attention.
The assessment is a reduced evaluation rate of $1,500 for all ages. A deposit of $300 is collected at the intake to hold the evaluation and the remaining balance is collected at the first testing session, unless a custom payment plan has been arranged.

We understand that insurance can be a major consideration for many of our clients, which is why we strive to make the reimbursement process as straightforward as possible.
As of Jan 1, 2023, our practice no longer bills insurance directly for testing services. The decision to become a self-pay practice was based on the increasing limitations that insurance companies were placing on us including denying coverage of ADHD & learning disorder assessments and treatments, and requiring us to assign your child a diagnosis in order to see them.
Tampa Pediatric Psychology values patient privacy and believes that decisions about mental health treatment should be guided by experienced providers and made by parents rather than insurance requirements.
using insurance for therapy and evaluations
We are a self-pay practice, but are happy to help our clients obtain reimbursement for our services. If you have a PPO plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement.
