Currently, there are 40 states that permit psychologists to provide therapy services via the PSYPACT certification. The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®) is an interstate compact initiative created to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. States that permit PSYPACT providers to practice within their state boundaries allow their residents to select providers from across the country to work with them. Why is this important? It allows people to find specialists for treatment which may not otherwise be available to them within their state. With the ability to choose from specialists across the country, you can receive the highest quality care without being restricted to your state's providers.
