Therapy for Teens and Tweens in Tampa
We know that the teenage years can bring big emotions, increased independence, and new struggles. Dr. Lago’s approach focuses on both teens and their family, ensuring that growth doesn’t just happen in the therapy room but also at home.
Dr. Lago works directly with teens to build skills for coping with anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and healthier behaviors, while also equipping parents with strategies to support their child’s mental health. She believes that when families work together—balancing structure, communication, and connection—teens feel more understood, and parents feel more confident.
As a child psychologist in Tampa, Dr. Morgan Lago has seen first-hand that teens connect best in spaces where they feel comfortable, which is why telehealth can be an incredibly effective option. Dr. Lago exclusively offers online therapy. Meeting virtually allows teens to engage in therapy in a familiar environment, making it easier for them to open up, practice new skills, and build a strong therapeutic relationship.
Therapy for College Students in Tampa
Dr. Morgan Lago specializes in supporting college students as they navigate the transition into adulthood. She knows that this stage of life comes with newfound independence, academic pressure, relationship challenges, and mental health struggles like anxiety and ADHD. That’s why her approach focuses on both the student and their support system, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed—not just in school, but in life.
Dr. Lago helps college students build skills for emotional regulation, time management, self-confidence, and healthy relationships, while also working with parents when appropriate to navigate this new dynamic.
One benefit of online therapy is the continuity of care. For students who have worked with Dr. Lago in high school, therapy doesn’t have to stop when they move away for college. She continues to provide support through life’s transitions, helping them adjust to new environments, manage academic stress, and build confidence in their independence—without having to start over with a new therapist.
