Reduced Rate Therapy in Tampa, FL
Quality therapy should be accessible.
Finding a therapist can be hard. Finding one who feels like a good fit and is financially doable can feel even harder. Getting help shouldn’t feel out of reach. Our sliding scale therapy services are offered through our clinical training program so more individuals and families can access consistent care.
When cost becomes the barrier, care often gets pushed to the side.
At Tampa Pediatric Psychology, access matters. Reduced-fee therapy is one way we make evidence-based care more available without lowering the clinical standard.
Many people try to wait it out, manage it alone, or start and stop because consistency feels financially risky. Over time, stress, anxiety, relationship strain, and behavior concerns rarely stay the same. They tend to take up more space, create more conflict, and feel harder to untangle. We have reduced-fee options for a simple reason: support is most effective when it’s accessible early and sustainable enough to continue.
We offer sliding scale therapy in FL to reduce financial pressure so individuals and families can start care sooner, stay consistent, and follow through on the work that leads to real change.
How reduced-fee therapy works?
Reduced-fee therapy can be a good fit when support is needed, but cost has been the barrier. This includes concerns like anxiety, mood and stress, attention and executive functioning challenges, behavior concerns, OCD-related symptoms, relationship and family stress, and the emotional impact of major life transitions. It can also be a good fit for people who want evidence-based therapy and a structured plan, but need a more manageable rate to be able to stay consistent.
Reduced rate therapy sessions are provided by our clinical interns, who are currently completing our clinical psychology doctoral internship and clinical mental health counseling internship, and are working toward independent licensure.
Clients commonly come to us for help with:
Anxiety, stress, overwhelm
Depression or low mood
Parenting stress and family transitions
Child behavior concerns and emotional regulation
Relationship and communication challenges
Life changes, identity development, and coping skills
