Valuing high academic achievement can often feel more draining than rewarding. Many of our high school and college-age clients come to us feeling lost in their pursuit of finding life purpose and happiness, unsure of what they truly value in life and who they want to be as a person, and overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, and perfectionism. Other issues that often come up include difficulty being more assertive and advocating for their own needs, friendships, dating, and issues in romantic relationships, and self-esteem concerns, negative self-talk, and feelings of being “unworthy” or “not enough”.
