Psychological Evaluations

for college students and adults in Florida

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessment is a service that identifies mental health disorders through a combination of interviews, self-report measures, and psychological batteries. The results help to rule out certain types of psychopathology and other long-term mental health issues. A diagnosis can help put words to your difficulties and set you on a path to a happier, healthier life. Dr. Edwards provides psychological assessment services designed to accurately identify mental health disorders and provide diagnostic clarity.

Testing for Exam Accommodations

If you have a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis with substantial impairment you may be eligible to apply for accommodations on your college-entrance achievement test (SAT/ACT), college admission test (MCAT/LSAT), or professional board exams (MPRE & CA BAR Exam, USMLE). Psychological assessment provides answers about potential learning disabilities, attention problems, and other factors that may prevent you from performing your best on academic and professional examinations. Those answers can then be used to request accommodations to be made for future exams

LSAT Accommodations

To request LSAT accommodations, you must submit specific documents demonstrating your disability. If you are applying for accommodations due to a learning disability, cognitive, or mental health condition, you will need a psychological assessment to support this claim. Psychological assessments allow Dr. Edwards to reach an accurate diagnosis, substantiate any disabilities, and provide recommendations for appropriate testing accommodations in a report of findings. You can then submit this report to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) as part of your request for accommodations.
